October Empties

I've finally used up the last of the Superdrug Coconut & Sweet Almond Intensive Conditioner that I've had hanging around for quite a few months now. I used this primarily on a Sunday as my conditioner as that is when I tend to use a build up removal shampoo. I rather enjoyed this as it made my hair feel so soft and more manageable. I've finished the Head Candy Treat Me Right Shampoo & Conditioner duo even if it doesn't look like I have in the picture. I found this duo to do an okay job at cleaning my hair but I wouldn't rush out to buy it again as it didn't particularly wow me with the results. I've used up travel size Tresemme Cleanse & Replenish Shampoo & Conditioner which I've been using every Sunday since I took them away with me on holiday. I found this duo to do a really good job at removing any product build up without making my hair feel quite dry afterwards. I've finished up another bottle of my beloved Organix Macadamia Oil which has been the only oil that I've used primarily on my hair since August last year. I used this every time after I've washed my hair on the ends and it helped prevent any split ends as well as prevent any dryness. I will forever repurchase this.

I've finished up another tube of the Superdrug Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser which is definitely one of my all time favourite cleansers. This is a simple cream cleanser that not only cleanses the skin but it moisturises it as well which makes it the perfect cleanser to use throughout the winter as it contains a skin conditioning multi vitamin complex with various vitamins which helps care for dry skin. This will forever be repurchased! I've used up another tube of the Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2-in-1 Wash & Mask which can be used as either a face wash or an actual face mask. I tend to wash my face with this and leave it on for roughly five minutes before washing it as I find that it helps reduce any blemishes and it just leaves my skin feeling clean and soft. This is another product that will always be repurchased. I've used up a tube of the Avon Skin So Soft Winter Soft Hand Cream which has taken me a very long time to use up. It's a rich hand cream that takes a long time to sink into the skin and can sometimes feel greasy so I often used this before bed and wake up in the morning with really soft hands. I've also finished up another hand cream in the form of Abahna Frangipani & Orange Blossom Hand Cream which was very light in texture and smelt rather pleasant. I rather liked this hand cream as you could feel how moisturising it was instantly. I've used up another bottle of my beloved Wilko Fruity Berry Hand Sanitiser which I have on my vanity, by my bedside table, in my Zara bag and in my work bag as I love it so much! It smells like berries and gets rid of any bacteria on my hands. Despite being such a simple product, it sure does make me smile every time I use it.

I've finally used up the L'Oreal De-Maq Expert Cashmere Milk Make-up Remover which I've been using since March last year. I didn't particularly like this as I felt that it took forever to remove my make up and after each use, it left my skin with a greasy residue which nobody wants their make up remover to do. I've used up a bottle of Femfresh which every female should use! It's lightly scented and keeps you feeling clean. I've used up a travel sized tub of the Soap & Glory Flake Away which I thoroughly enjoyed! This is a rather gritty exfoliator which left my arms feeling so soft! I will definitely be buying this in full size as soon as I've finished my current exfoliator. I've finished up my final tub of the Austalian Bodycare Argan Cream w/ Vitamin E which I'm sad to see go. This is a rather thick moisturiser that left my skin feeling very moisturised and soft after each use. Despite the fact that I'm sad to have finished my little stash of them, I've already found something that has replaced it. I've used up a travel size bottle of the Soap & Glory Clean On Me Shower Gel which I actually used as a shaving lotion instead. This certainly helped get a closer shave on my legs and it left my legs feeling so silky soft which for that reason alone, I will definitely buy this in a full size. I've finished the Sure Maximum Protection Deodorant in Confidence which I don't think is as good as the hype makes it out to be. It did the trick most of the time but there were times when it didn't do as well as I wanted it to.

I've used up two Lacura 3 in 1 Facial Cleansing Wipes that features in every monthly empties post. I use these pretty much for everything apart from taking off my makeup. These are my favourite make up wipes which will forever be repurchased. I've used up two Salon System Individual Lashes Ultra Black Medium which are my go to lashes. I talk about these a lot as so many people comment on them thinking that they're my actual lashes. These will also be forever repurchased as I couldn't live without them. I've used up a packet of the Skin Therapy Large Oval Cotton Wool Pads which are the only cotton wool pads I use. They're bigger than most cotton wool pads which makes cleansing/toning/removing makeup with so much easier as you don't go through quite as many. Lastly, I've finished up a pot of the Pretty Perfect Twist & Out Instant Nail Polish Remover which is my favourite nail polish remover to use. It does the trick really quickly and I find that one pot lasts me quite a few months before it dries out. I've noticed that they've repackaged these and that they're now a smaller pot but it still contains the same amount.

Boots Build Up Removal Shampoo

For quite a while, I've never bothered with a detoxifying shampoo to help remove any product build up as I believed that I didn't need it because I don't use that many products on my hair on a daily basis. On a whim, I decided to purchase the Boots Build Up Removal Shampoo out of pure curiousity and now, it's become a Sunday ritual where I use this and a few other products to help give my hair a break from its usual hair care routine.

The Boots Build Up Removal Shampoo is a revitalising and deep cleansing shampoo which helps leave the hair thoroughly cleansed after use. It helps to remove any unwanted product build up from your hair which can sometimes make our hair look rather dirty no matter how many times we wash it. It's dermatologically tested which means that it shouldnt irritate your scalp.

I've been using this product every single Sunday for almost two months now and I honestly look forward to being able to use it when Sunday comes around. This is one of those products that just looks like a normal cheap shampoo which wouldn't do your hair any good but looks can be rather deceiving. I find that this has an average scent which I suppose is normal for shampoos that help to remove product build up as you wouldn't want it to be overly scented. This lathers up like any other shampoo and I tend to massage this into my scalp really well, using my fingers to give my scalp a little head massage. Once I wash it out, my hair feels really clean, almost squeaky clean which some people may not like as you're basically stripping your hair of product build up as well as your natural hair oils. I think that since I've started using this every Sunday, I've noticed that my hair feels healthier especially when combining it with a deep conditioning treatment. I've also noticed that my hair has grown which is always a good sign.

You can purchase the Boots Build Up Removal Shampoo from Boots for £3.49. I've noticed that they don't stock this online so I'm guessing that it only be found in store.

Superdrug Haul 003

I recently used up a sample of the Garnier Moisture Match Protect & Glow Illuminating Light Lotion which featured in my most recent Samples I've Used Up post. To say that this was love at first use is an understatement as I literally fell head over heels for it which I don't think is possible especially for a product. With that in mind, I thought that it would be rude not to pick it up as I think this will be perfect as a day time moisturiser as it helps make the skin look glowy which many bloggers crave and it also has an added bonus of SPF20, which means that my skin will be protected.

To go along with the Protect & Glow, I knew I had to pick up the Wake Me Up version as I've had many make up free days where people have commented on either how tired I look or asking me if I'm ill which isn't a great thing. This contains citrus extracts which helps to give the skin a wake up call by making the skin look more radiant whilst giving the skin some much needed hydration. I'm hoping this will be just as good as the Protect & Glow and perhaps it will stop people commenting on how dull my skin is and comment on how radiant it is instead.

The last product I picked up from Superdrug is of course from the same range as the other two but in the Goodbye Dry version. I've noticed that my skin has been feeling a lot drier now that the days are getting colder so I'm hoping this will sort it out. It's a ultra hydrating rich cream which is meant to protect the skin from feeling tight, uncomfortable and dehydrated and instead make the skin look plumper and feel silky soft.

I managed to pick all these up for just under a tenner as Superdrug were having a half price offer across the whole Garnier line. I'm glad that I bought these in Superdrug rather than in Boots as I almost paid full price for them all in Boots which just goes to show that you should check in both stores to see which product/s are cheaper.

Tony Moly Pocket Bunny Moist Mist

Japanese/Korean beauty products have always interested me and my eBay wishlist is just filled with many products that claim to do X, Y or Z. Whilst browsing eBay, I came across the Tony Moly Pocket Bunny Moist Mist that intrigued me as it supposedly contains clean French Celtic Water that has been purified by several layers of stone with enriched mineral. It also is meant to contain various extracts of red/white fruits and vegetables that helps keep the skin moisturised whilst controlling any excess sebum.

This is basically just a cute little bottle containing scented water that does nothing in terms of controlling excess sebum as all it does is just coats the skin in a very fine mist that takes roughly thirty seconds to sink into the skin which does feel rather refreshing. I've found that I haven't broken out whilst using this which means that I can spray this to my hearts content. Even though this doesn't do anything but refresh the face, it does look rather nice sitting on my vanity so for that reason alone, I would consider this to be a decoration rather than a handy make up/skin care product.

You can purchase the Tony Moly Pocket Bunny Moist Mist from eBay where the price varies from seller to seller.

Favourite Brushes

There used to be a time when I used to apply make up with my fingers and sponges and I shudder every time I think of it as I know for a fact that I didn't wash my sponges. Nowdays, I rarily use my fingers as I have a whole variety of brushes to apply, blend, buff, bronze, highlight etc my skin. I thought I would share with you what brushes I've been loving using recently.

For my base, I tend to always apply my foudation with the Real Techniques Buffing Brush. This is a flat top kabuki brush which makes applying and buffing in foundation like a dream. Whilst I do think this is a very good brush, I mainly go in afterwards with the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to help finish blending in foundation in areas that I think I might have missed with the Buffing Brush. As it is so densly packed, I find that it blends in foundation so well. I like using these two together as they help make me look like I'm not wearing any foundation at all as they've both blended it in and buffed it in so well. To help set my base, I use whatever powder and the Real Techniques Duo-Fiber Face Brush and just stipple it in rather than blending it in. I find that this brush distributes powder evenly due to it being a duo-fiber brush and not so densly packed.

I always wear bronzer and I find the best brush to apply this with is the Real Techniques Blush Brush. As this brush is quite large yet slightly tapered at the end, I find this brush applies bronzer perfectly to either contour my cheeks or just apply bronzer in general. I wear highlighter without fail and the only brush I've found which applies this well is the Real Techniques Contour Brush as it's just a small-ish brush which is slightly tapered at the end. I find this doesn't pack on the highlighter no matter how much I swirl it in my highlighter as it just evenly distributes it across the top of my cheeks. Sometimes I can be a little heavy handed with my bronzer so I love using my Ecotools Powder Brush just to help blend everything in better and make it look not quite as dramatic.

The last two brushes that I've been loving go hand in hand with eachother as I only really use them on my eyelashes and on my eyebrows. The ELF Eyelash & Brow Wand is basically a spoolie which makes combing through my lashes and brows really easy. As that brush tends to pick up foundation quite easily and leave bits of foundation in my eyebrows, I tend to go in afterwards with the Ecotools Lash Brush which helps get rid of that. This is a dual sided brush as one side has a plastic comb and the other has bristles.

What brushes do you use to apply your make up?

Samples I've Used Up 004

The Dr. Organic Rose Otto Skin Lotion* has been a sample that I've been rather skeptical about using as many rose scented products can either smell really good or really bad and sadly, this smelt really bad! This smells exactly like a hair removal cream I used years ago which had a very unpleasant rose scent. Scent aside, it does sink into the skin quickly and do an okay job at moisturising my skin. However, the scent does linger on the skin for quite a few hours after applying and I found myself catching whiffs of it every so often which I did not like. So for that reason, I would never dream of purchasing this on full size.

The Garnier Moisture Match Protect & Glow Illuminating Light Lotion* is a sample that I rather enjoyed using. This gave my skin a rather luminuous, radiant glow that stayed put for quite a few hours after applying. It felt really light on the skin and smelt so good! It's enriched with Vitamin B3, lemon extract and light reflecting pearls which helps to give the skin a more healthy looking glow. Even though this is for normal skin, I found that this was more than moisturising for my dry skin so I will definitely be buying this in full size ASAP!

I've finally got around to using a sample of the Apivita Express Beauty Gentle Cleansing Mask with Pink Clay* that I received in my #NottsBBMeet Goodie Bag. This is a face mask that helps to gently cleanse the skin without irritating it. It contains rose juice which helps to tone and rejuvenate the skin. I found that this sample was more than enough for two face masks however I stupidly applied all 8ml of it in one sitting which was far too much so I sadly didnt experience the full effect of it. This left my skin feeling cleansed however not as cleansed as it would have felt if I had just used a cleanser. It just felt like a normal face mask and for that reason, I wouldn't repurchase this.

The last sample I've used up is the Clarins Everlasting Foundation in 105 Nude. This is a medium to full coverage foundation that does a good job at covering up any blemishes which lasts on the skin for roughly 10+ hours depending on what primer I've used. I've managed to get roughly three full face applications out of this tiny sample which is really good going for a foundation sample. I find that when I first apply it, it is rather pale but then it oxidises/adapts quite quickly to my skin tone within seconds and it just looks perfect. I think I'll get a few more samples before I do shell out the money for it as it is a rather pricey foundation at £26.

Sally Hansen Insta-Grip Fast Dry Base Coat

Before I started blogging, I had no idea that base coats and top coats ever existed when it came to painting my nails. I would just usually paint it on straight away and leave it as that. Little did I know, that was the main reason why I had badly stained nails especially when I was going my phase of wearing black nail varnish back at school. Nowadays, I apply a base coat and top coat religiously whenever I paint my nails as I want to prevent any staining and peeling from occuring.

The Sally Hansen Insta-Grip Fast Dry Base Coat has caught my attention quite a few times in recent months which is probably down to being featured on RottenOtters' blog quite a fair bit. The concept behind this base coat is that it only takes thirty seconds to dry. It is enriched with calcium and fruit extracts which helps to bond to the nail surface to help to strengthen and protect the nails.

I've noticed that since using this for the past two months, my nail varnish has lasted longer which could be down to a wide variety of things and not just the base coat. However, my nails haven't been peeling like they used to do with the OPI Nail Envy which featured in my recent empties post and they don't seem to be stained when it comes to taking off the nail varnish. My nails have always been rather strong so I haven't experienced chipping/breaking any nails whilst using this which is a good thing. Overall, this is a very good base coat and one that I will continue to repurchase unless I find anything better.

The Sally Hansen Insta-Grip Fast Dry Base Coat can be purchased from a variety of places for a variety of different prices. I personally use eBay as it's just under £5.

Wishlist 002

Beautysets - Wishlist 002
I've just recently tried a sample of the Garnier Moisture Match Protect & Glow Illuminating Light Lotion which will be featuring in my next Samples I've Used Up post and it's love at first sight! This sunk into my skin rather quickly and has made my skin look rather dewy and bright which was such a surprise. I definitely need to get my mitts on this glowy item as it'll be the perfect companion throughout these cold winter months. I've been breaking out quite a lot recently which is either down to stress or my new night time toner which I don't particularly rate so I'm wanting to get some Witch Hazel to use as a toner as it's meant to be the best thing for spots as it just contains pure witch hazel which helps get rid of spots quickly.

For the past three years, I've been wearing eyelash extensions on and off and my real eyelashes are suffering quite badly so I think it's time that I invested in Revitalash. This is a simple serum that you apply day and night to your eyelashes and over time, it helps to restrengthen them and make them grow longer which I so desperately need! I've been getting bored of applying my make up with brushes so I'm wanting to try out the infamous Original Beauty Blender and see what all the hype is about. It's meant to make your foundation look flawless but I guess I won't know until I try it out for myself. I've recently got myself in a bit of a slump when it comes to foundation opting to use the same product over and over again instead of reaching for different bases so I think it's time I took the plunge and got myself the Bourjois Healthy Mix Radiance Reveal Foundation which is meant to give your skin a boost of radiance whilst providing a flawless, medium cover finish. Perhaps I'd prefer this over the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum which I already love.

As it's now starting to get colder outside, I've noticed that my skin hasn't been looking it's best as it's been feeling rather dry so I think it's time I tried out the Nivea Express Hydration Primer for Dry/Sensitive Skin. This is basically a moisturiser and a primer in one which helps combat dry skin whilst making the perfect base for foundation. I tried a sample of this ages ago and I rather liked it so I'm hoping that this is still the case! Another product I'm lusting after which is meant to be really good not just for dry skin but all skin types is the Organic Surge Overnight Sensation Night Cream. This contains organic rose geranium essential oil which helps to restore, revive and rehydrate the skin. This is meant to make your skin look smoother, healthier, more supple and just in general a lot more radiant in the morning after you applied it the night before.

I've recently become addicted to pale blue nail varnishes so I'm wanting to add to my collection in the form of Models Own nail varnish in Beth's Blue. This looks rather similar to Barry M Gelly Hi Shine in Blueberry but with more lilac running throughout. Hopefully I'll be able to get my hands on this soon as I reckon that this would look very nice during Spring. Since I've started blogging, I've read countless reviews on OCC Lip Tars which is basically a liquid matte lipstick which lasts a life time as you need the tiniest amount. The shade in particular I'm lusting after is Hush which looks like a rather pale, pinky, coral based nude from looking at swatches online which I think would rather suit me. Although I'm sure that if I did buy this shade, all my family would complain and bring up the whole "How many nude lipsticks do you own?" conversation which has happened so many times this past year. The last item I'm lusting after is the Joop Miss Wild which was released back in September. I actually made Liam buy the Joop Wild back in August as it smells that good so when I found out that they had released a female version of that particular scent, it got added to my wishlist instantly. It's a floral based perfume with spicey pink berries mixed with vanilla which I'm sure most people would like.

What products have you been lusting after recently?

NYC Smooth Skin Bronzer in Sunny

Not too long ago, I was browsing Amazon when I came across the infamous NYC Smooth Skin Bronzer in Sunny which we cannot get over here in the UK that easily. I noticed that it was the last one in stock and decided to buy it there and then as you can never have enough bronzers, right?

The NYC Smooth Skin Bronzer in Sunny is a blogger and youtube cult bronzer as it's a universal shade which will flatter nearly all skin tones. The bronzer itself comes houses in rather cheap plastic packaging which doesnt seem to shut on the first attempt. I'm always scared that when I open it, it will snap in half as the little bit of plastic holding the two halves together just looks cheap and looks like it wouldnt take too much pressure. Despite how shoddy the packaging may be, it does come with a decent sized mirror which is always a bonus. Onto the actual product, its in a sun design just like the name suggests which wont take long to disappear once you've swirled your brush in it a few times.

For such a cult product, I really dislike it. You have to apply it quite a few times just to get some colour payoff which is not what I was expecting. I think I had to swatch it atleast five-ish times in the swatch above just to get it to show up. It's also very chalky and I end up with product everywhere after the first swirl of my brush. After applying it onto my skin, I find that I can get only a few hours wear out of it before it disappears completely which is a shame. I think this would be a good bronzer if you're just starting out with make up but if you're somebody like myself who likes to contour, then I would invest in a different bronzer with a much better colour payoff like the Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer for instance. For now, this will be shoved to the back of my make up collection until I figure out what to do with it before passing it onto a friend.

You can purchase the NYC Smooth Skin Bronzer in Sunny from eBay where the price varies from seller to seller.

Dove Nourishing Oil Care Leave-In Conditioning & Care Spray

Long term readers of my blog will know that I have declared my love to both the Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance Leave-In Conditioner and the Organix Macadamia Oil and have repurchased both of these products time and time again. However, I've recently felt that my hair was lacking something so I thought I would purchase the infamous Dove Nourishing Oil Care Leave-In Conditioning & Care Spray which has the longest name ever! I've been using this for a little over two months now and I thought I would share my two cents.

The Dove Nourishing Oil Care Leave-In Conditioning & Care Spray is a light weight smoothing and defrizzing spray that can be used on both damp or dry hair. It is a dual formula spray which has two levels - it contains weightless Nutri-Oils which has almond, coconut and argan oil to help smooth and seal the hair. You shake the bottle well to help combine the two levels together and in tern, it helps to restore moisture which keeps it feeling soft all day long.

First of, let me just say how divine this smells! It's a scent that smells so good that I simply cannot describe it without saying that it smells yummy and delicious which I thought I would never say.  I find that the spray nozzle on this distributes the product equally which is a bonus as I don't feel the need to squirt quite as much onto my hair. I mainly use this on hair when it's damp after I've used my Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance Leave-In Conditioner and before using my Organix Macadamia Oil as I find that it nourishes my hair more as well as making it easier to style. Many people think that using oils on hair can leave it feeling weighed down and greasy but with this, you can hardly feel it in your hair once you've sprayed it in as it just gets absorbed quickly into the hair which makes it perfect for those who have thin hair like myself. I personally think that this has helped my hair out in the long run as it's made it so much softer than before and I honestly can't see myself living without this.

The Dove Nourishing Oil Care Leave-In Conditioning & Care Spray can be purchased from Boots for £3.59.

Arora Body Butter in Pink Grapefruit

I've never been a fan of moisturising my body as I just find the whole process tedious. I much prefer being able to get out the bath, dry myself off and get dressed quickly. However, I've recently been making a conscious effort to atleast moisturise my legs when I get out of the bath as it seems to be getting a lot colder now that it's Autumn so I'm wanting to keep my legs moisturised at the very least. The product I've been using is the Arora Body Butter in Pink Grapefruit that one of my blogging friends, Jess, made me buy after reading her rave review on it here.

The Arora Body Butter in Pink Grapefruit is a luxurious and moisturising body butter which has a delicious, juicy fragrance with extracts of both pink grapefruit and guava. It contains nourishing shea butter and glycerin which helps to leave the skin feel soft and smooth. This is a rather rich and creamy paste that sinks into the skin almost instantly when rubbed in. Unlike The Body Shop Body Butters, this doesn't move about when rubbing it in as it just seems to stay in one place almost. I find that it takes just a few seconds to sink into the sink once applied which means there is none of the awkward faffing about afterwards.

What I like the most about this product is just how moisturising it is. After coming out of the bath and applying this, my legs just feel so soft! I find that this feeling lasts until the next day too which I haven't experienced before with a body butter including the infamous The Body Shop Body Butter in Shea Butter which is meant to be one of the moisturising body butters that they do. I've been using this after I have a bath and I reckon I've got just under half left which is pretty good going, especially when I've had this since the end of August. I've already repurchased this body butter in this particular scent as well as Sweet Vanilla as I really do like this. I honestly think this is one of my holy grail products as it's just such a great product for such a low price.

The Arora Body Butter in Pink Grapefruit can be purchased from Superdrug for £3.99 which is often on half price. It also comes in a wide variety of scents including Sweet Vanilla, Chocolate Expresso, Coconut Creme, Pomegranate Passion and Wild Berry.

Boots Haul 004

After running out of my beloved Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic, I decided to pick up a new toner to keep me going until I restock on my beloved Liz Earle products. Seeing as Boots have now discontinued their infamous Botanics Organic Rosewater Toner which featured back in my December Monthly Favourites, I picked up the other rosewater toner in the form of Boots Traditional Skin Care Glycerin and Rosewater Toner which I'm hoping will be slightly similar. There will be a review up soon of this in due course.

I've been loving the Barry M Gelly Hi Shine nail varnishes recently so I decided to add to my collection and pick up one of their newer shades in Blue Grape. This is a rather bright, dark cobalt blue which is meant to be a very good dupe for Nails Inc Baker Street. Seeing as Boots had a Buy 1, Get 50% off across Barry M, I also picked up one of their normal nail varnishes in Mushroom which has been on my wishlist ever since I started blogging. It's a grey-ish brown colour which may not be to everybodys tastes but I personally think it's a very classic colour which would look good with most things.

The last thing I picked up from Boots was the Nivea Diamond Touch Shower Cream Oil which was half price making it something silly like 97p. It contains diamond like shimmer and smells of white calla lily which is meant to leave the skin looking beautiful and feeling smooth after each use. I don't really know why I picked this up as I have quite a fair bit of shower gel to be getting through but there's nothing like stocking up.

NOTD 007

Products used:
Sally Hansen Insta-Grip Fast Dry Base Coat
Barry M Gelly Pomegranate // one coat
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat
Sally Hansen Mega Shine Extended Wear Top Coat

One thing I love the most about Autumn is digging out all the warm clothing. But more importantly, painting my nails an appropriate colour for the season. I picked up the Barry M Gelly Hi Shine nail varnish in Pomegranate towards the end of August with the sole purpose that this shade would be perfect for Autumn.

Pomegranate is one of those shades that can look either more pink or more red depending on what light its in. The picture above is doing it no justice as it's definitely more burgundy in person. With most of the Gelly nail varnishes I own, I find that each needs two coats which does make the whole painting the nails process a lot longer. However with Pomegranate, I found that one coat was definitely enough which I'm rather shocked at. The colour of this just looks so effortless and classic and I wish that I had started wearing this on my nails sooner!

I find that the wear time of this is pushing roughly a week before noticeable chips start appearing which is impressive even for me. Although, that may be down to the fact that I did apply two top coats purely to make it look a lot shinier.

Revlon Lip Butter in Juicy Papaya

Juicy Papaya is the last of the limited edition shades that Revlon brought out back in March. Juicy Papaya is best described as an orange based light but fairly bright coral which would suit most complexions. It applies fairly true to colour which is rare for a lip butter as they mostly apply quite sheerly but can be built up. I'm wearing it rather sheerly in the picture above hence why it looks rather pinky peach instead of a bright orange that you were probably expecting.

I find that Juicy Papaya lasts on the lips for only a couple of hours before it needs re-applying which is standard across most of the lip butter range. Even though it can be worn as sheer or as full on as you like, I personally don't like it as the palest of orange shades seem to wash me out so I guess that this particular lip butter shade will be shoved to the back of my make up drawer and forgotten about for the time being.

Revlon Lip Butters can be found at both Boots and Superdrug for £7.99 each.

September Favourites

I've been loving using the Dove Hair Therapy Norushing Oil Care Leave-In Conditioning & Care Spray which I spray in my hair after I've washed it whilst it's still damp. It's a lightweight smoothing and defrizzing spray which you have to shake well to blend the Nutri-Oils together. It leaves my hair feeling incredibly soft and it gives it such a nice scent which I've received many compliments on. I will have a review coming up on this very soon! Another staple in my hair care routine is the Aussie Miracle Insurance Leave-In Conditioner which I use as a detangling spray and before I spray in the Dove. I find that this makes it a lot to comb through my hair as it helps to get rid of any tangles. I cannot imagine my hair care routine without this.

I've been using the Wilko Hand Sanitiser in Fruit Berry religiously to get rid of any bacteria and germs on my hands. It smells exactly like berries and I've noticed that my hands feel a lot softer and more moisturised whilst using this which is strange as it doesn't contain any moisturising properties. I've been loving the Nivea Essential Care Lip Balm which I've also been using religiously. This leaves my lips feeling very moisturised for hours and it makes the perfect base for lip stick. I like the fact that I can still feel it on my lips after a few hours.

What products have you been loving throughout September?
